Governance
AUA’s governance is by the University Council. The Council works with sub-committees such as:
- Academic Committee
- Audit Review Committee
- Finance, Investment and Compensation Review Committee
- Ministerial and Theological Education Committee, etc.
The Council is comprised of 20 members.
Members of the Council
Chairperson: General Vice President of General Conference (GC)
Secretary: Vice-Chancellor of the University
- Four persons appointed by the Sponsor as follows:
- the Associate Treasurer of GC assigned to the territory;
- the Associate Secretary of GC assigned to the territory;
- the Director of Education, GC;
- the Associate Director of Education, GC in charge of Africa assigned to the University.
- Four persons appointed by the Sponsor as follows:
- Two Presidents from the Supporting Divisions;
- Chief Financial Officer of each Supporting Divisions;
- Chief Educational Officer of each Supporting Division;
- Ministerial Secretary of each Supporting Divisions;
- One Union President is chosen from one of the Supporting Divisions;
- One Vice-Chancellor is chosen from one of the Supporting Divisions;
- One other person from one of the Supporting Divisions who is not an employee of the Church.
